Just joined. Found this place by trying to learn how to disable the annoying "Loss of Service - Verizon Wireless" announcement that happens on boot up before a signal is acquired the 1st time.
I just got rid of an analog cell phone I've had for years. My wife convinced me to "go all the way" and get a smart phone. She has a Droid Incredible. So, I got the Droid X to have something different.
The smart phone is a big change for me and I really like it. I never envisioned being able to process e-mails in near real time and texting is very cool.
Hope to learn lots about my phone in this forum and contribute where I can.
