Justin Case and The Root Ninja team have finally added official support for the Moto X. This means you can finally unlock the bootloader of your Verizon and AT&T bootloader. This will work on devices with 4.4.3 and lower as well as some 4.4.4 devices. There was also support added for other Motorola devices like Moto G, Motorola Droid Maxx, Ultra, and Mini. The Sunshine bootloader method can be used by anyone. It is essentially an app that does all the work for you. You just download the app, pay the one time license fee of $25 then proceed to unlock your bootloader! Sunshine also no longer needs root, it will actually gain root access on its own. With an unlocked bootloader we should be able to install custom recoveries and eventually custom roms! Head to the source link below for the download.

They used to have the bounty threads ..got real messy then peeps not honoring their pledges ...this way you want unlocked bootloader you pay ...more devices getting added on ..G3 is being looked at from what I'm hearing ..

Not to even mention the simplicity. I know how to unlock my Bootloader, i've done it on every phone i've owned except the 1st one, and $25 is STILL almost worth it to me to have it be SO simple.
$10 would be better, of course.
