This should be addressed with the upcoming update in a week or so... but in the mean time recalibrate your compass that just may do the trick for you.

How do you recalibrate your compass??

go to your apps pull up compass then recalibrate

Sorry if I am being dense, when I look through all of my apps, I don't have an app titled "Compass". Is it under a different name?

It is under settings->location and swcurity-> calibrate compass

How can you disable the pin code on the screen unlock in 2.2? I did not have it in 2.1 and now the disable option is itself disabled. I read somewhere that this has to do with my installation of an exchange.mail account.

hancent wont put new messages atop the list since 2.2 update

so basically as the title says hancent wont put new txt messages atop the list since 2.2 update.. obviously this is very annoying. has anyone figured out a work around for this yet? ive tried to uninstall the app and re-install it but new messages go to the middle of the pack. im thinking this is something that hancent may have to fix and then provide its own update. any thoughts?

its interesting how i am not having this issue. all my latest text come right to the top. i wonder why this doesnt effect everyone.

are you using hancent? i even did the update for hancent no luck

yes i am. and my messages are appearing in order. i received my phone on 9/12, updated early yesterday morning. all message are in order. even new ones that came in today. i didnt reinstall anything.

What is the need for hancent? Seems a bit pointless if you ask me.

lol what the heck do you need to customize? Its a simple TXT. Seriously you type and send messages and read them. Why complicate things?

some prefer a different look than what the stock has to offer, in terms of conversation style, notifications.

Calendar issue!

Is anyone else having this problem?

So I use google calendar and I expected it to work just fine after my 2.2 update. However when I press the calendar icon it doesn't load and just goes straight back to my homescreen.

I went under my accounts to my google and there isn't even a Calendar sync option there. There used to be one.

PLEASE HELP!! I use my calendar every minute of my life and need it back desperately!

Got the official Froyo update just now. Biggest gripe: still no zoom feature on the camcorder... come on Motorola!

auto app launch

Ever since I updated to 2.2 my apps are starting up by themselves worse then before. When I turn on phone I have 240 + meg of memory within an hour it drops to about a 100 meg. And continues to drop. The battery doesn't seem to suffer too bad, but how or can I stop apps from auto starting? Or is this something I even need to worry about, should I not use a "Task Killer"? This is the ONLY negitive thing I've notice since the update (and even this isn't that big of a deal)....Love the DX and the update!
