App Market Crash

The App Market crashes if you click on Downloads and "Update All" to update all installed applications. The error I get it:

Sorry!
The application market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Anyone else seeing the same problem??

Not Fixed in 2.2

This is what I have noticed so far:

1. Still getting vmail notification in notification bar. No new messages
2. Contacts still not syncing groups
3. LED blinks to suggest new notification. There are none. May be related to #1 above. *_Very_ annoying

Just a small gripe, but when texting, it use to vibrate when hitting keys but now it doesnt. Tried changing in settings but no dice. If anyone know how to change this let me know please. I also noticed that when you get an incoming call you dont have to swipe across the screen anymore, just hit answer, just the small changes i notice.

Im having an issue with corporate mail i believe we use exchange 2003 i can down load the emails but the only info i get is whats in the subject line when i open the email anyone else experiencing this

Flash is included in the 2.2 OTA. It's a plug-in for your browser, not a standalone application, which is why you won't see it in the app drawer. Here's how to verify that you have it: from the home screen click the menu button, then select SETTINGS > APPLICATIONS > MANAGE APPLICATIONS, then select the "All" tab. Scroll down and you'll see "Adobe Flash Player 10.1". If you click on it you'll see that the version is 10.1.72.10. The version that's available in the Market was updated a couple of days ago to version 10.1.95.1. The market version is the most curret, includes a security fix, and it will allow future updates through the market.

I'm still disappointed that the camera does not rotate. It would be nice to take a picture in portrait mode and upload it to facebook or even have all the menu items flip with it.

Installed 2.2 OTA a few minutes ago. Went to market and installed flash, all is working good so far.

Confused

I solved it! It is an activesync "quirk", not a fault of the phone or the 2.2 update.

You have to delete any previous phone sync data/profiles from your exchange account. I did this by logging into my webmail app, navigating to options > phone and deleting all instances of phone sync info. I rebooted my phone, synced up with corporate sync, then went to settings for screen lock. All options were available.

Is this something I do on my phone or on each email account? Is it just the exchange accounts or the pop3 accounts too? I can't cant find anything to delete phone sync info.

As per the market not showing apps, I tried clearing cache and data n market app....still missing a bunch of apps in market for example a few plaid versions of gamevil games like zenonia.....anyone else seeing this?

if the app isnt updated for 2.2 it wont display in your market

No silent??

Updated my X to 2.2 last night at midnight and I just now noticed that vibrate is as quiet as the X can get at the moment?? Volume down button only lowers the volume to a minimum of "Vibrate." Anyone else seeing this?

Also, when clicking in the text field of a text message, the text that I have already typed seems to flicker white, making it hard to see if I need to scroll up through the message to edit it. Big problem? No. Annoying? Yes.

^^^It only does this in landscape mode. When I have the phone upright in portrait and click in the text area, the whole text box lights up red (and text turns to white) and allows me to scroll through the text. However, in landscape the textbox doesn't light up red and the text just turns white, making it hard to see on a WHITE background.

When using the volume key to put the phone into silent mode, it only seems to go to vibrate... and when in the Verizon wireless screen with the unlock and sound slide bars, if you move the slide bar to the right it says "phone is silent" and displays the silent icon, but on the top task bar it still indicates its on vibrate. Hopefully I won't have to listen to my phone vibrate against my wood dresser all night.

That's a new feature of Froyo. You have to go into settings to change the silent mode to actual silent but then you won't be able to turn the volume all the way down and put the phone on vibrate. The best option is to get a widget that switches between ring, vibrate, and silent. That's what I had to do when I upgraded my Droid to Froyo.

I updated my phone this morning and the download went fine. Once it finished downloading, I pressed Install Now. It shows the droid and the box and a yellow progress bar. It finally finishes installing and reboots. Yet it never gets any farther than the Motorola Icon and gets stuck there forever. I did a system restore and restarted the phone and it still gets to the icon. I have tried taking out the battery and everything else that I can think of and nothing works. I can't get it to go back to the system restore screen anymore now. I hold down the Home button and held down the Power button and tried other methods and can't get it to show up.

I found a solution (at least for me) for this loss of pattern unlock...

I went to my exchange server - looked at activesync policies and found that nothing was ever set to enforce a password on remote devices - so I went back to the phone for the solution.

I removed my corporate account association - This gave me access again to change my unlock from numeric to pattern... and then I restored the corporate exchange account. (re-entered in all the server settings/etc)

Seems that my pattern unlock is sticking around...
