Odd happening after root, who wants a crack at it?

Ok this is something I have duplicated 6 times:
Stock dx .340/30.04
Root z4 perm
Bootstrap and Root Exp only apps
Go to web and try to download any file(zip,apk, anything but a pic/media)
download unsuccessful, content not supported.

sbf back to 340, no root, no root apps
go to web, download successful on same exact zip/apk

lather, rinse, repeat.

What do you guys think? I'm stumped. Even unrooting without sbf'ing, still fail.

Are you using astro as your file manager? If so you have to go into astro's settings and enable web downloads or you will get that error every time.

You sir, are a winner!

I never thought of that because I never use astro. But it always downloads automatically and I sometimes open it, sometimes don't, but then I simply uninstall it. So I just rooted, downloaded astro, and sure as heck, selected the option and bam, winner.

I owe ya one. Sometimes you get so involved in the complex things you forget about those pesky "easy" things.
