Notifications not working w/ texting apps

Did you freeze/rename/delete the app Email Engine 2.3.5? That disabled notifications if removed from the phone.

Are you using a notification app such as Light Flow? Have you attempted to reboot the device (power off / back on)...

If you didn't make a back up of what you deleted then you're gonna have to sbf the phone back to stock and start over. If you did make a back up then you can just restore the app.

I had the opposite problem in that I was getting multiple notifications on my status bar. Have you gone through the notification options in the setup of each app? My problem was that every application was set to give me a notification; sounds like your situation is the opposite of what mine was, they're all turned off.

Maybe they're in conflict, try turning off the Android notification only and leave your other app's notification on.

Open the Text Messaging app and hit the Menu button. From there you will see a notification option if you scroll down. Just uncheck it.
