Notification Problems

I recently rooted my DROIDX and I'm loving it alot but recently I have been having issues with ring tones and text alerts changing to something other than what I put.... I was wondering if rooting had anything to do with this.....

Negative. As far as I know rooting will not change any features just give you superuser privileges
