Notification goes off twice when I get an aol email

For some reason, ever since yesterday, my notification would go off twice for each aol email I receive. I would understand it if I was receiving more then one, but I'm only getting one email.

I don't understand why the notification would go off twice.

Any help?

I'm using whatever came withthe phone. For example, when I check my mail I click on the messaging icon, then it shows me the universal inbox, text messages, and aol mail. I click aol and that's how I check my mail.

I actually think I fixed the problem. I turned the phone off, turned it back on and then switched through different notification sounds and the problem seemed to go away
