Note 9 Waze / Google maps

I have a note 9. Why can't I get notifications to play through the car speakers? Pandora works just fine on bluetooth.

Are you referring to Notifications from the Maps app? Or driving directions coming through over Bluetooth?

Open Maps > overflow menu (the three lines sometimes called the hamburger menu) > Settings > Navigation Settings > make sure Play Voice Over Bluetooth is turned On. There are also Volume options on that screen, and a Test Sound option.
