Note 3 back light won't turn off after Side Sync

I recently got a Tab S 10.5 and side sync'd it with my Note 3. The screen dims, but never turns off. It's not a developer options "stay awake while charging" thing. It does it off the charger too.

Caveat: Restarted both the Tablet and the Phone.
