Yeah, that occurred to me, but I really haven't seen another browser I like better, though I see there's a new Chrome thing out

Have you tried using Dolphin HD? I tried a few different browsers after I realized the stock was kinda lacking, and Dolphin has really worked for me. I definitely wanna get the Chrome for Android, but that won't happen until we see ICS, so in the meantime, Dolphin will do.
