Noob problem

Hi all. Still learning my first droid. When I plug my X into my laptop, it recognizes it, then the phone shuts off and reboots. I wait til its up and running and plug it in again and it works just fine. I just got my girlfriend a global, and it does not do this. Any ideas ?

It shouldn't reboot when plugging in to the computer. How long have you had the device?

I have had it 4 mos. It is consistent. It does it the same every time.
