NO SOUND WHEN RECORDING VIDEO (Droid 4)

Welcome to Droid Forums! Sorry to say I am not sure about your issue, hopefully someone comes along with some information for you.

Hello and welcome to the droid forums. I had this issue on my maxx... idk if this will work for you , but I cleared data and cache, and force closed my camera app.. that fixed it.. I haven't tried to use it again since... hope this helps.

DROID RAZR MAXXIMIZED!!!! PREPARE TO BE VANQUISHED!!!

OK.... I deleted my system cache with Android Assisrant; no resolution. I then cleared camera data and a FORCE CLOSE. Sound pick-up is very faint. I am wondering if I need to run a system restore at this point?

Thanks!!! I tried both but no luck. Still only very faint sound unless I put my BIG MOUTH right on the mic. AT 1 foot distance, very, very faint sound pickup.

FACTORY RESET DID NOT FIX PROBLEM (Droid 4)

Just completed factory reset. There is still only very faint sound when recording video. Are there any apps perhaps that might help? Really don't know what to do at this point.

Welcome to the site. Hope you are able to get this resolved. DancingNexus

I had the same problem and just discovered that the audio level for videos is independent of the ringer & voice audio control. Try increasing the audio level while viewing the video. Hope your fix is as simple as mine was.
I am not getting sound when I record video. Is there a setting I am missing?

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!

My Droid 4 took a bad fall in early August and I just received a (NEW D4) replacement via my insurance plan. So far, video recording is picking up sound. THANKS to everyone who had advice, comment, and concern.
