Droid X, Need another Video Recorder that doesnt record in

I want to be able to record video in another format rather than having to convert to AVI or MPG. Seems thiss phone only has setting to record video as 3GP. i hate that if i send it know one else can view them. Am i missing something, i am searching this site and all this data is having me to reboot my brain. I keep getting message from my brain (not responding).
Help.

i got a sound record, need another video camera that uses this camera as video record. any other format that can be emailed or texted.
