No Sound Notification from Hotmail

My Gmail account still gives me notification for every incoming emails, but not with emails from Hotmail. Do any of you ever had this issue?

How is your Hotmail set up? IMAP/POP/Corporate Sync?

I've used to have such option with Droid Bionic, but not with this Razr Maxx. I only have simple option of adding username and password to add an email account.

Add your Hotmail account via the Corporate Sync option.

Go to Settings -> Accounts -> Add Account -> Corporate Sync

The settings should be:
Server: m.hotmail.com
Use secure connection: Yes
Proxy/domain fields should be left blank

Then in your Email app, click the Menu button -> Email settings -> Notifications and set it up how you want

Does that fix it?

This is so weird :icon_eek:, with windows live hotmail option, I have no notification. But by selecting others option, this is similar to older style set up and I do get notification sound. There are two problems with this option though as outgoing server does not accept secure connection with the provided port, and it doesn't sync emails well with hotmail server.

Hi everyone, I have the same problem receiving a notification sound or vibration when I receive a hotmail email. I deleted the account and added it back and it didn't fix the problem. Verizon said that I have done everything I was supposed to do and suggested to go into the store and see if it could be fixed there. I would prefer to use my hotmail and not a corporate sync email, however I'm almost going to download the hotmail application from the playstore if this problem cannot be fixed. On the new droid razor maxx there is no manual set up for the built in hotmail and also like others my other email accounts notifications work fine.

ALSO,,,,, when I forward a email from my hotmail the receiver only receives the FWD subject with a blank page?

PLEASE HELP!
