No Sound During Call Except Speakerphone & BT/Headset

So what I thought was an issue of the past, appears to still be plauging phones of today.

Go to answer a call, no sound in ear...have to switch to speakerphone. Same dialing out.

Read all about proximity issues w/ the headset connector, so i cleaned/cycled/tapped....no fix. Apps that show it, incicated no headphone jacked in unless one actually is.

I finally resorted to blowing INTO the ear speaker itself. FIXED!

...and it appears it just failed mid-call again. I blew on it again and tapped it a few times and it came back.

Sounds like I will be visiting the Verizon store to get a replacement. :sad:

Wired Headphone Routing Fix


There is an issue with a lot of Android phones where the OS thinks the headphone is being plugged in and unplugged on its own.


I have rooted 4.0.4 AOKP and it still occured. The app should include older versions of Android shortly as soon as Google Play shows my latest changes.
