No email notifications after upgrade

After my Verizon S4 updated to 5.0.1 I am no longer getting notifications for email in the Samsung email app. The email appears in the Inbox and the counter works, it just doesn't make the sound/vibrate and it doesn't appear on the locked screen. I've checked all the settings and everything looks good... All other notifications are working.

Mine was like that for my hotmail...I went into the email, clicked settings, then clicked on my email account and then changed the sound from silent to my notification, also checked vibrate. Not sure if this is the same for you, but this worked for me.
