According to P3droid via twitter he has said that moto will not be releasing the official GB update to the droid 2. It will be rolling out fo the Droid X and the D2G however. Even though the Droid 2 was out after the X, and rolled out with 2.2 stock... P3droids last tweet about the droid 2 was along the lines of: "If you have the Droid 2, get rid of it. It is the Red Headed step child" Wtf moto...

Not surprising..... they dropped it for the global in less than 6 months if I remember right....

Still, how hard is it for them to make the X version of 2.3 work on the D2? They are practically identical. Seriously...

I agree.... just saying that it doesn't surprise me.

There's a few changes but not many.... there will be some dev that does a gb rom for dx and then someone will convert the dxtod2 converter the other way.

Just adds more hate towards motorola. HTC and Samsung are loving the way moto treats us, it just giving them customers and money.

This is disturbing. They set a good precedent by all the updates the D1 got and now this.

Moto...what are you doing??

I don't think that ill buy another moto phone, not because of the bootloader, but because of this.

Pretty much no support for a phone that's only 6-7ish months old.

I think the d1 only got all of them because of the unlocked bootloader. They figured people would just update it anyways, why not save them the trouble?

Nope, you just need to have all the bloat there that came on it. Im going to wait until it gets rooted before updating to gingerbread though.

This is great news for me, but i don't get why the droid 2 isn't getting gingerbread, its not fair.
