It looks like the preorders on the newest Asus-made Google Nexus 7 have made way for in stock demand already. We are starting to get a flood of reports that certain Best Buy and Walmart locations already have the device in stock and available. The new tablet has the same prices at all of these locations: $229 for the 16GB version and $269 for the 32GB version. The $350 all carrier 4G LTE version isn't available yet, but we will keep you posted.

Amazon is also selling the device in stock, but it's nearly impossible to search for it. They seem to be keeping it pretty hidden for now, but here it is (the 16GB version): Amazon.com: Google Nexus 7 FHD Tablet (7-Inch, 16GB, Black): Computers & Accessories

Here is the Best Buy link to the 16GB version: Google Nexus 7 inch Tablet with 16GB Memory NEXUS7-ASUS-2B16 - Best Buy

Holding mine right now. First boot up needed a software update, it is rebooting now. Got the 16GB version from BB. This one feels much better in the hand than the previous one. Slimmer and lighter for sure.

Will post some thoughts shortly if anyone cares to hear them.
