The newest retailer to start offering a Nexus 7 32GB at $249.99 is Wal-Mart. Not only that, but they also dropped the price of their 16GB version to $199.99. This seems to confirm that Google was planning to launch the new 32GB version of the Nexus 7 at their big press event today. Unfortunately, Hurricane Sandy ruined those plans, but it seems the retailers were allowed to go ahead with the new retail pricing model.
For about a week now, most retailers, and the Google Play Store have not had the 8GB version of the Nexus 7 tablet to sell. It's still listed on the Play Store as "coming soon," but so is the 16GB model, leaving the fate of the 8GB model in limbo.
