I would vote Note 4.....the Nexus 6 looks great but some have said it is a monster in the hand. I also LOVE the S-pen.

I chose the Nexus 6 but really you have to decide the type of user you are and what you want in a phone. The Nexus 6 has a larger screen but the note 4, a much better camera. The Nexus 6 you can use on any carrier the note 4 is locked mainly to the carrier you bought it through (you can unlock it but the LTE may not work on other carriers). Really what it boils down to is if you want to unlock the bootloader and if you want vanilla android over touchwiz. People who do not care about bootloaders and just want a great overall user experience will go note 4. They are both awesome devices and really which is better comes down to you the user and what you want. Personally I find the nexus 6 to be the best nexus device and android device I have used followed by my Note 2 then nexus 5. But I am one who prefers vanilla android over touchwiz and an unlocked bootloader. @Jonny Kansas has a note 4 and I know he digs the device, for him I am sure he does not mind touchwiz and can care less about bootloaders anymore.

^Best advice you'll find. Couldn't agree more. The Note fits my wants & needs quite well, but you gotta go with what'll serve your needs best.

Thanks for the replies.
I really want the Nexus 6 as I have the Nexus 5 and love it.
I love large screens and so lean towards the Nexus 6, but I also love the things that I can do with the Note's stylus.
I just wish that I could have both for a week before deciding.

Depending on your carrier, you have 14 days to decide. Not sure how that works if you return both & get the first one again though...

You are going to get a similar experience with the nexus 6 that you have with your nexus 5 just with a better screen, better speakers, much better radios, and a better camera. I suggest try the note 4 for a few days as you already know what to expect from the nexus 5.
Now know the fast updates that you get with your nexus 5 will not be that way with the Note 4. As you know we are coming up on 5.02 while most devices including the Note 4 is still on 4.4.4. If that does not bother you then yeah check out the Note 4. I know I personally kept my note 2 to use as an electronic note pad.

Let's look at this from a different angle.

I love the Nexus 5 but the screen is a bit small so that has to go.

So as I have 2 contracts I'm thinking of keeping my Note 2 and getting the Nexus 6.

What advantages does the Note 4 have over the Note 2 ???

Better s pen sensitivity & functionality. Qhd screen. Will get more os updates moving forward. Support will eventually stop for the note 2.

I'll add better build quality as well as the design is based off the Samsung Alpha.

Oh yeah! Can't believe I forgot that one. We'll day is because mine's in a case & I can't see the metal.

Another advantage of the 4 over the 2 is the ergonomics. The 2 feels ginormous whereas the 4 just feels really big. I actually have an easier time 1 handed on the 4 than I did on my 2. I can do 1 handed operation on both but it's easier on the 4. If the 2 gets 4.4.4 or later a lot of the functional differences will probably be a wash.

Better camera. The 4 has optical image stabilization.

I'd forgotten how much faster the camera on the 4 is over the 2 also when using the flash until seeing your post. Not that the 2 is slow overall but with the flash on it's so normal compared to the 4. It was the deciding factor for me vs the G3.
To get back to the original topic the the Note2 is still a beast of a phone, still very relevant vs newer models of any brand. If not for switching carriers I'd still be using my Note2.

Yeah that note 4 camera is a beast. The nexus 6 gets the job done but not on the same level as the 4.
