Newbie with Launcher Pro questions

Hi all! I just switched over from a Blackberry to the Droid X and have been reading a little about launcher pro. My question is, if I install it and don't like it and then uninstall it, will I lose all my custom settings from before and have to start all over again? I've tried looking for the answer online and can't seem to find it anywhere.

:welcome: to the forum Jen! You won't lose your setup. However, you should remove any widgets from the stock home.

Thank you so much, one last question though, why do I need to delete the home screen widgets first?

Because the widgets will be running on both the launcher home pages, and the stock home pages, which will cause your batter to run down faster.
