new update?

just got my droid 2 global (white) for christmas and have a few questions

just now downloaded a system update (2.4 i think) now what does that fix/do?

when i change screens from apps to home or app to app near the bottom it says loading in a black box...why?

is there any way app or anything that can change the led indicator light it doesnt even flash differently for facebook or email

how can i increase my battery life it sucks like 4 to 4.5 hours with minimal use and task killer going crazy

any really cool things the phone can do?

One bit of advice that will be echoed here is to lose the task killer immediately. They do nothing but cause problems. Still haven't figured out why VZ pushes these.
