new update with root

i have stock ICS but i rooted it with i think the one touch root. it is system version 6.16.211.XT912 android version 4.0.4 build number 6.7.2-180_DHD-16_M4-31
My question is do i have to unroot before i udate to the new JB

any help will be appresheated

i am a little scared to upgrade

Shouldn't have to unroot. I don't think. Try it, worst case scenario is it fails or it breaks your root but there is a root method for JB. It won't work if you have removed or frozen any files though.
