New to the forums, Picking Phone Help?

Hey everyone, I was searching around trying to find out as much as I can about these phones, and this website kept popping up.
Figured I would make an account since its been very useful. :D

Right now I have a samsung rouge, nothing real special.
I have an upgrade coming at the end of this month, and have been dieing to get a Droid phone.

At first I wanted the Droid 2 because of the physical keyboard, but a friend of mine had it, the keyboard isn't that great.

So, I am going to try a full touchscreen phone.
I almost had my mind set on the Droid X, then I found out about the TBolt, bionic, and atrix.
And from what I understand the X has kinda a "washed out" screen, which I don't like the sound of that.
(verizon customer rules out the atrix)
So now I am looking at the Tbolt and Bionic.

I know nothing about the HTC or Motorblur, and just looking on a little deciding help here.
Seeing as 4G isn't in my area for the "projection plan of 2013", I don't know if that rules out the bionic or not.
Also, Bionic isn't released any time soon, and I read somewhere that the Dual Core isn't going to really matter until things are made to work with it?

So, it looks like thunderbolt will probably be my next upgrade, still researching though.
If anybody has any opinions they want to share, or help me out a bit, it would be very appreciated.

Sorry for the long wall of text, just have everything running through my mind at once, lol.
On a less "needy" note, hey everyone :D!

The Thunderbolt is going to be a sweet device...here is a video that might be helpful - in case you haven't seen it

Thanks, learned a bit more about it.
Looks a lot better in the video than the pictures have been letting on xD
Also, thank goodness I can change that ugly curve bar I've been seeing, the one he had at the start is very nice looking.

It seems like its a very fast and smooth phone from that video.

Welcome to the forum! There are lots of cool phones ready to drop. You'll get some great info and opinions in here; but be sure to get some hands on experience in the store. There's no substitute for trying a device out and making sure it meets your personal preferences and needs.

Regardless of your choice, be sure to stick around here and join in the fun - 2011 is gonna be a wild ride!

tappin like a mutha

Thanks for the welcome!
I will for sure try it out in the store, but hearing other peoples opinions and knowing what to look for helps a little bit too. :D
