new to the Droid RAZR maxx world, need Calendar help

Is there a way too put the calendar on the main screen next to the clock? What's the best led color APP to use to Distinguish between people

you can long press your screen and then select widgets > calendar. There are also a lot of calendar widgets that you can find at the google play/store. I'm using aCalendar to show my google calendar
