I have never owned a Droid phone and have just become eligible for an upgrade...I'm starting to research but there are so many phones to choose from. Hopefully this forum will help me come to a decision.

welcome to the forum. Feel free to look around and see what people are saying about their phones. Once you narrow it down, I would go to a store and get some hands on before I made a final decision.

Thanks...I think I've already narrowed it down to just 4G phones since it wouldn't make sense to buy a phone that won't work in the 4G network...Does that make sense??

Here are the phone's I am considering....Any thoughts on these??

Droid Charge - Samsung $99 pre-owned
Revolution - LG $99 pre-owned
ThunderBolt - HTC $149
Samsung Stratosphere $99
Pantech Breakout $99

Getting a 4G device makes sense to me. If you plan on using those phones "out of the box" and don't plan on rooting them, any of those will be a good choice. If you want to root them, then the ones that I know that have support are the Thunderbolt & the Charge.

Okay...After posting those I then narrowed it down to the Charge vs Thunderbolt...I'm leaning towards the Charge, it seems to get better reviews.

I think you'll be happy with either of those.

Welcome to DroidForums!! Like CJM said earlier make sure you check them out in person before deciding. Nothing like a little hands on time to help you decide. Let us know what you end up doing and how you make out.

Well, I decided to order the Charge..I was able to get it for just $50...I couldn't pass up that deal! I'm sure I'll be happy with it being that it's my first ever smartphone! I do know I'll definitely be back on here to get help with using it and what apps you recommend for it :) Thanks a lot for the help you've already given me!

Yeah at that price it definitely is worth at least checking it out, that is darn cheap. If you don't like it you could always return it within the allowed trial period. Let us know how it is :)
