ew To DX: Will My D1 Rooting/ROM Process Work?

I own a D1 and have successfully rooted, installed custom ROMs, themes, kernels, etc., with no problems.
I made this post to ensure I can use the same process for the DX, which is running 2.2.

Process for my D1:
Root via Easyroot.apk with purchased serial
Install RM w/Clockwork Mod + Superuser
Download ROM via RM and install

Will this process also work with the DX?

No, it won't. The reason for that is the bootloader hasn't been cracked. And even if it does someone will have to come up with another process for rooting.

So easyroot can't be used even if the bootloader is cracked?

Easyroot works on the X dunno about the rest, most of the roms come with an install procedure.

Go download the Droid X Bootstrap from the same dev as Rom Manager. Similar idea - you'll figure it out. This is the best we have right now.
