New to Droid, an i need help

I am new to this Droid, i was all happy about getting it but now i am not sure i am liking it much anymore,

I added ringtones to my chip i got them on my phone but i can not seem to use them for SMS and emails

FACEBOOK is not notifying me of new messages or POST

AOL email is slow doesnt respond fast as the Blackberry

Can someone help me out give me some tips and tools
