Hello everyone!
I am a former BlackBerry owner. I am moving from a Blackberry Tour to a Droid X.
I am trying to wrap my head around the whole android OS. I am very used to being able to shove everything when pressing the home key equivalent into organized folders to my liking etc. But I am getting used to it!
I am also wanting to get into rooting it. I want to be able to customize my Droid X much like how I would get themes etc for my Blackberry. Also be able to pick and choose what I want on the OS instead of the whole bloated thing with stuff I know I will never use wasting space. Especially Carrier Bloatware
I like the looks of the ROM GummyJAR. It sounds lean and mean and can do everything I would need it to.
So I need to get it rooted, and afterwards put the ROM on there, but what do I need to back everything up? Last thing I need to do is brick my device :-(
Please help a newbie out. This Android thing is a braaave new world for former Crackberry guy.
Thanks in advance
