I'm hearing that rooting ya phone will def increase battery life and I know their is a lot of forum's and different help out there. I just need the basics what to download on my laptop and whether or not I need a different driver other than using the HTC sync to do it. And after rooted what then? If their is a video guide that would be a plus I'm running windows7.

welcome to the forum. im sending u a link so u understand what it does and doesn't do. there are pros and cons and no, rooting itself does not mean better battery life. there's more to it and this is where reading, searching, and reading again...becomes ur friend.

I will let a few months pass before rooting as I am not tech savvy. Thanks though. I will continue to browse and learn in this forum.
Want custom ring tones. Would like to know how. eg I want a song from youtube to be a ringtone. Please help with step by step process. Will I need another micro SD card?
