correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there's a new version of swype out. after installing froyo, I had to redownload swype, and i seems to be a newer version: 1.25.16.5652.t100

No, that is the version number for the beta. It's possible, if you were one of the first to download the beta that you got a slightly earlier version (5612).

P.S. Downloading the apk for this app is considered theft on this board.
