New Radio (2.0.xxx) sounds like crap?

Folks,
I had been running the first leaked 2.2 OTA for quite some time, and just flashed back to stock this morning (in hopes for the real one). However, it seems that ever since I flashed to Froyo, my wife had trouble hearing me...She often said I sounded like crap and to talk louder. I would have to repeat things I said almost all the time.
I was wondering if anyone else noticed this since they upgraded their radio and whatever ROM they use. Do you think this would affect by the radio upgrade, or the ROM itself? I was looking into SkyRaider for less bugs and a more vanilla build....but it still requires the new radio of course and I figure the real OTA will too. Any comments?

no problems here with skyraider 2.5.2 Everyone says i sound great. try the skyraider ROM and see if that works. Just do a backup and wipe data/cache before you flash it

You're definitely using the 2.0x radio and not 2.15? I have heard of issues with 2.15 radio and the 2.1 system files.
