New Member w/ FTP Question

Hi All, I am the proud new parent of a Droid2. LOVE this kid!. I am attempting to install an FTP app and am having difficulties connecting either through WiFI or 3g(can't connect at all). I have tried two seperate apps. Andftp and Freeftp without success. I have double checked all settings and ensured my Filezilla server was reachable from another client.

Has anyone had success with their Droid on Verizon's network?
