New listen app requires wifi?

I just tried to listen to a new cast and it says (warns)you are not connected to wifi. What is the point of having a phone when I cant do everything using data confection.youtube app is the same for uploading.

i think its just warning you that you are about to download a lot of data over your 3g data plan. Just giving u a heads up so you dont end up with a big bill from your cell carrier if you dont have a unlimited data plan

It works just fine over 3G for me. Running version 1.1.2
