New Droid X user

I am new to the Droid world. I switched from Blackberry and now I got a Droid X. I read a couple of posts on how to make the battery last longer I use Advanced Task Killer. I read that people used it and deleted it. Can anyone tell me why that is?

Welcome to the forum...and sure I can enlighten you a little bit

The Android Operating System has a very efficient Task Management system built in and any third party app that claims to do the same thing is going to work against the native Android O/S Task Manager and cause confusion which can potentially slow down your device

Uninstall it, it is not needed

Thanks I uninstalled it. Im glad I found this site. Now I can actually use my droid with out it dyin so quick.

That too, they use unnecessary amounts of battery to do something that the system does efficiently already
