As was made quite clear by that video -- thanks for the link! I personally wouldn't use any of the GPS functions unless it was plugged into my car-charger. It really, REALLY sucks down that battery.

Yes it does. This was kind of a bummer to find out since now when I go on a motorcycle road trip, I will have to buy another battery just to be on the safe side. Don't want to be stranded in the middle of nowhere with no clue where I am!

I actually think this video warrants a new thread as I'm sure many, many, MANY questions will be asked about the battery.

also takes about 5 dis-charges and recharges before a new battery ever takes and holds a full charge, just the way they work.
run it ALMOST all the way down about 5 times then just keep it charged,
maybe once a month run it almost all the way down
