New Contacts created on phone are not syncing to Google cantact list

All new contacts I create in my Droid do not sync into my Google contact list. Anyone have this problem or know of a solution?

Sorry if this is a re-post I did a search and could not find a related post.

On further investigation, I went into the Sync settings menu and it shows that my contacts have not synced since 4:30 on 11/6/09 so about 6 hours after I picked up my phone. It is actively trying but is not able to, anyone else seeing this?
