Need to lock apps, widgets, shortcuts!! Plz Help!

After searching high and low ............is there a way to require a password to lock certain shortcuts or apps? for ex: I wish to prevent others from going through my work email......can i require a password for this to take place? or, can I require password to open calendar, pic album, etc.

the bberry has this and I was certain this option would be standard......any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

look for "lock" apps on the market. There are several that may do what you need.

Precisely! In addition to that, my emails have proprietary info and sensitive data.....so I'd like an app that prevents me from "standing over them"

people do not "regularily" use my phone no do they look through my emails.....but should they want to, they can without the needed lock app.
