Need some advice

OK....so I used to have a rooted froyoed Droid Eris and loved it. Now I have this fascinate and its aggravating me. I have advanced task killer and everytime I open it this phone is running all the junk Verizon wont let me delete. I miss the simplicity and customizing. What is the easiest most user friendly process to do this?

I've read so many posts And am so overwhelmed with the possibilities. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Get rid of the task killer, and quit worrying about apps running in the background. Read the opening post of this thread:

Task killer will fix the most part. In the devrlopement thread is a good walkthrough to root your phone and get froyo.

check out the odin eb01 package, it will load you up with froyo and root your phone all in one shot. There are 3 different versions of the package, 2 of them have the verizon stuff already removed.

Is there one version you guys would recommend over another? And this is now on hold. Verizon is sending us new phones because ours are so crappy with reception and lack of 3g staying connected. My Eris never had these problems.

Iono about the old one
They can tell if Its rooted and that immediately desolves your warranted, but of course you fan revert to stock without any problems.

Eb01 is the best current version of super clean. Use nonvoodoo cause its more intense than you need unless you do some reading
