need help with vnc

Can someone help me set up so I can have remote access to my computer, I can't connect at all through my computer.

I use TightVNC on my computer and PocketCloud (free one) on my DX. Works great for me.

I downloaded android vnc server from the market then tightvnc, I create a password and put that password into my phone and then entered the ip address into the app on my phone. I disabled the firewall and connected to my router through my phone as well. Do I have to change any ports from my router or anything? It says something that it can't connect.
