Need help with my Eris

ugh i cant flash the kernel cuz my trackball wont scroll down so when it press it its on reboot

If you mess with the usb plug, your track ball "should" work. Lay your phone flat, and plug in the usb cable about half way.

Okay so I did both an update and the kernel flash I'm still losing 3G/Data about every 4-5 minutes and the only way to restore it is by either toggling the data on/off or by rebooting the phone. What apps can I use that will replicate sense/clock widget. Is there a working wired tethered app because the built in one doesn't work. Also how can I get my computer to recognize my eris when it's not in usb mode like before.
