Ok so im tryingto update to ICS but im having trouble unrooting. I have unrooted before with droid razr utility, but it was with the old version. For some reason now im getting a error saying Path could not be found and the program just stops.

I tried re-downloading it and starting over. Had the same result.

Im running the Stock Rom with safestrap.

Why exactly do you need to unroot? I didn't think they were rolling out the ics ota yet. You can always fxz back to. 902 and start fresh.

I'm new to the RAZR world... but if there is a FZX image available for GB, cant you RDS Lite it and then update?

Atleast thats how it worked on my Bionic....

I received a update notification. I was hoping it was ICS or just something to fix the few quirks with the phone.

Stock is what im trying to achieve but I cant seem to get the new utility to work.

Is there another method as good as the Droid razr utility?

Is the program running from the root "C" drive? I think I remember something about it having to be. I just have a folder called "root" on my c:\ drive and Matt's utility is in there.

bumping back up. 129 views and no one has an idea on how I can unroot?

Maybe I need to get rid of safestrap?

To upgrade safe strapped has to be removed and use voodoo root keeper from the play store to save "su" as a backup and then do a temp unroot using voodoo.

this was the problem. Im unrooted and on my way to ICS. Wish id saw the post about voodoo before i wiped it all clean lol

THANKS

I can use matts utility to root after ics right?

Yep, if you have the 1.7 version you should be good to go. If you are on GB and rooted use voodoo root keeper to save root and then do a temp unroot and install ICS. Be sure safestrap is not installed. Once you have upgraded just go back into voodoo and restore root.

Thanks, up and running again. I gotta say I'm enjoying ics so far.
