Need help getting movies on my Droid

How exactly do I transfer the DVD onto my droid? What is the best way to ripp it? How do I get the best settings for playback? What player to I have to use to play it?

handbrake is a program i have been using to convert my avi's. use the search button for "handbrake" to find out more info.

The standard gallery app locates videos on the SD, and you can watch them from the native player.
