Navigation question

I have police, hospitals and a few other things setup on layers.

Is there an easy way to have the Navigation take me to the closest hospital if I need one? I thought I would be able to do this with layers but it seems to only show hospitals near by.

What happened to my yesterday was I needed to get my wife to the hospital on our way home from a trip and wanted to get to a local hospital and I could not figure out how to do it (there was no hospital showing on layers)

I hope someone knows an easy way to do this from navigation.

I rarely start navigation from the Maps app. I just use the Voice Search and say "Navigate to Hospital" and from there it should go straight into navigation and pull up a list of hospitals. I guess from within Maps you could just search for "Hospital" and it find ones nearby.
