my RAZR's losing apps!

Saturday I went to open an app and it said it wasn't installed. I had to reinstall it. Sunday this happened with 2 apps. And Monday and today. What on earth...?

There must be a reasonable explanation. If you go to the Google Store on the WEB does it say those apps are installed? I'm guessing they aren't in the app drawer.

Actually, they are all free apps. Today it was the TriMet Ticket app by globesherpa.

Haven't been out to the web yet. But... I would click on the shortcut and see a tiny dialogue box stating the app isn't installed. So the app software was missing but not the shortcut icon.

When I reinstall suddenly I have 2 shortcuts.

Also, I have some bigger apps on the SD card. The mysterious disappearing apps were on internal storage.

I know I hoped, in the dark recesses of my mind where I am sure I purposely hadn't thought of this, that it would not be The Answer.

I just don't see any other option at this point. Something is seriously wrong and just may not be correctable any other way.

Well, I did the presidential thing.

But Google programs installed old versions after reset. I powered the phone off and back on... That didn't help. The gmail format is old, Maps is the old version, etc. Haven't been to Google forums yet...

Also, every time I post here now, I get a message: " The remote server sent an unknown response. This could be related to an outdated plug-in or possible conflict. "
DF is the only place I'm seeing that. ?
