My fone doesnt wake from standby for text msg notifications pls help

I have not had a Razr but the phones I have had did not do this either. When using a messaging app from the market you can set it to do so.

This is normal behavior. Mine doesn't either. My Droid 1 didn't either.

You can download a messaging program like hand cent and it can wake it but i never liked it to wake up mostly it was in my pocket and I pocket hit buttons since it unlocks the screen

smmfc is correct. Handcent provides a variety of configurable options for notifications including waking up the Razr. Of course, if you're a teenage girl your phone may never get any sleep.

Go SMS also has an option for "turn on screen" when receiving a new SMS.

Go SMS Pro would be the one I typically use as well. And as STG has said it does have that feature among other things.
