My Droid 2 Keeps Freezing

My phone would freeze once in a while but it would usually start working again after just taking the battery out and putting it back in.

But today when I was at the gym listening to some music my phone froze and shut off and i wasn't able to turn it on for like 10 minutes. When i turned it on it started working but froze like 2 minutes later. And now the phone barely turns on and just freezes at the lock screen.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Does the phone feel abnormally hot to the touch when it's freezing? Your situation is that of a phone that is continuously overheating.
