My Contacts

I have a droid a855 and due to a problem with the phone, i am being shipped another phone. Question is, are my contacts automatically saved to the sd card or do i have to do that myself? If so, how do i transfer them to my sd card? Thank you!

If you have access to the phone still, if you go to settings > accounts and sync > your account. Is Contacts checked? If so, they're backed up to the "cloud" and will sync down when you sign back into the account.

If you don't have access to the phone, if you go to google.com/contacts and sign in with your phone account, are your contacts listed there? If so, then they'll sync down when you sign into your account on the new phone.
