Must be hitting something

During a call I can hear the other party keep saying hello and they can't hear me. I must be hitting something during the call but can't seem to know what it is. I can still hear them. Any ideas?

Every call, on a few calls? How often does it happen?

And is your phone turning black when you put it by your ear? It should to avoid things like that from happening.

Nope, not bluetooth.

Seems to happen with almost every call. My screen I think does go black and then comes on when I hold it down to see what the heck happened. All I see mostly then is the dialpad.
